Soulwax

2017 will see Soulwax return to the stage to present their long awaited forthcoming new album, with their excellent first single “Transient Program For Drums And Machinery” already pre-released. They will do so with an extremely eye-catching concert, for which they have reunited their band comprised of seven musicians -including original band member Stefaan Van Leuven on bass guitar & synth; three drummers: Victoria Smith (Jamie T), Igor Cavalera (Sepultura, MIXHELL) and Blake Davies (Turbowolf); and Laima Leyton (MIXHELL) on synth and backing vocals)- and an onstage recreation of their spectacular Deewee recording studio, jam-packed with synthesizers, drum machines and all kinds of instruments. One of the best known bands exploring the crossroads between rock and dance music are back with a vengeance, more than ten years after their all conquering “Any Minute Now”.

David Dewaele and Stephen Dewaele formed Soulwax in 1995 alongside Stefaan Van Leuven. In 1998 they released their first album, mixing guitars and infectious beats that defined their sound from the outset; After a hiatus motivated by the huge success of 2manydjs, the band returned strongly in 2004, with world-wide hits including “NY Excuse” and their second album, “Any Minute Now”, which led them to play for the first time at Sónar the following year. The Dewaele brothers have devoted their life to music and know exactly how to make the perfect comeback record and an even better live show.
