Jeff Forshaw is Professor of Particle Physics at the University of Manchester. His work includes the theoretical physics which underlies the experiments carried out at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. He was awarded the 2013 Institute of Physics Kelvin Medal for explaining science to non-experts.
