Libby Jackson has spent most of her career working in the field of human spaceflight. She currently manages the Human Spaceflight and Microgravity Programme at the UK Space Agency.
Libby managed the UK Space Agency’s huge education programme for the British European Space Agency astronaut Tim Peake’s mission to the ISS, playing a key role and acting as a spokesperson throughout the mission.
Prior to her time at the UK Space Agency, Libby worked in Mission Control as a Flight Director for the Columbus module, Europe’s laboratory on the ISS.
Libby has had a life-long interest in human spaceflight and first dreamt of a career in human spaceflight when she was 17, following a placement which included shadowing a flight director at NASA’s Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Texas.
