Creating sweeping aural soundscapes that are like self contained soundtracks to an unseen film. OLA blend ambient spaces, layered vocal harmonies and beat driven tracks. Hard to pin down, their music is characterised by it’s questing, forward momentum and delicate orchestral elements. Kevan’s distinctive vocal falsetto rises over nebulous layers of synths, cavernous crystal clear guitar work and pulsing bass lines that all come together into psychedelic dream-pop odysseys.
OLA started back in 2013 and have since released an album, two EP’s, composed a score to the film Koyaanisqatsi, Baraka and created various original works for Bury Art Gallery, John Rylands library and shared the live stage with Future Islands, Here We Go Magic, Sylvan Esso, Errors & Ulrich Schnauss amongst others.
