Sally is a Pulsar Hunter at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics and recently completed her PhD in Pulsar Astronomy. Pulsars are dead spinning stars that were discovered 50 years ago and Sally continues the search for more pulsars using telescopes from across the World. Part of her research is to learn how to train computers to help identify pulsars using machine learning techniques. Sally has also worked on the Pulsar Hunter Zooniverse citizen science project and teaches pulsar workshops at the Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre.

Sally will join Tim O’Brien and Ben Stappers on the Lovell Stage to discuss 50 years of Pulsars.
