A tactile exploration of galaxy shapes and colours (advanced version!): Join visually impaired astronomer Dr Nic Bonne and learn about the science that makes each and every galaxy in the Universe unique, using tactile astronomy images developed by the Tactile Universe project. You'll learn how astronomers classify galaxies, and use simple observations like galaxy shape and galaxy colour to better understand these fascinating objects' past, present and future.
Recommended for ages 11-16. All children must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the workshop.
